Check RapidIdentity's Service Status

In the event that changes are made to settings, it might be necessary to stop the RapidIdentity application service and restart it. These steps will guide the user to RapidIdentity's application service status to allow it to be started, restarted, or stopped.

  1. Access the RapidIdentity appliance through SSH.

  2. In the Main Menu of the service, the first menu item titled RapidIdentity displays its current status to the right.

  3. Selecting RapidIdentity will bring up its menu.

Starting or Restarting RapidIdentity

Once in the RapidIdentity menu, follow these steps to start or restart RapidIdentity:

  1. Select 1 Status.

  2. Select Start and allow two to five minutes for the RapidIdentity application to startup. Once it is up, Portal can be logged into.

Restarting RapidIdentity

An administrator can also perform this function within the RapidIdentity Application by going to Configuration > Systems > Cluster.

  1. In the RapidIdentity Menu select 1 Status.

  2. Select option 2 Restart and allow two to five minutes for the restart to complete. Once it has restarted, Portal can be logged into.

Stopping RapidIdentity

Once in the RapidIdentity menu, follow these steps to stop RapidIdentity:

  1. In the RapidIdentity Menu select 1 Status.

  2. Select option 1 Stop.

Logs

The Logs interface allows administrators to view log data from RapidIdentity, the configured Audit Database, the Local Database, and the Local LDAP Server.

For example, selecting RapidIdentity opens up a view of the RapidIdentity logs and administrators can either scroll down or tail the logs to have feedback on demand.
